My Sister Audrey's Birthday card

Morning Bloggers If you are a Chelsea Fan what a great night My brother was at the Game so he wasn't disappointed eh. My whole family are Chelsea fans from way back. Anyway that's enough of Chelsea We are the champions.
I made a card over the last couple of days for my sister who doesn't blog but it is her birthday on 23rd May this Wednesday. Used one of my favourite stamps again Stamping Bellas Uptown girls I love these new stamps of hers. Coloured her with Copics getting quite a collection now, must just say a thank you to dearest Kay Carley as she has an updated copic chart on her blog.
I have used a Cheery Lynn die Sophies Heart, what a nightmare to cut out, kept turning it around and different machines and finally got one to cut out with the Grand calibur with a shim. I have three Sizzix machines one is the Vagabond which I really didn't want to break! the other is the Pro which I thought would be too big and the Big shot and I have all the adapters for all of them and they didn't work! I used a nestability for the frame and of course Craftwork cards cardstock. The little crown is one of Craftwork cards sayings A princess for the day. The backing paper for the life of me I don't know probably a Bo  Bunny from ages ago.

Well Bloggers hope you have fantastic Sunday I'm off to get my dog and cats flea stuff.
God bless and lots of Hugs JO.xxx

Friends 65th

Hi Blogger friends it's me again - don't faint, no post for months and now two days on the trot. I'm off today and done all my chores washing, ironing, cleaning up you know the mundane things in life we women have to do. One of my dear friends was 65 before Christmas and I did manage to take a photo of the card and now can show it. I use mainly Craftwork cards for the base, the backing paper I think was off a sheet of free paper pack from a magazine. Used memory box dies- so easy to Die cut, WOC flowers and Stamp from Nicky and friends by Ladybug crafts coloured in with copics easy little stamp, the 65 made from Quickutz Roxy alphabet. I put tiny little diamanties on the flowers
I am going to make it my new Years resolution - better late than never,  to try and capture my photo's better, I am really rubbish at taking photos to put on my blog. Hope you like it. Have a lovely evening. Big Hugs and love JO.xxx

What a bad month!

Hi bloggers,
Not a good month for me wanted to start to be a better blogger, but unfortunately been rather poorly. Just before the new year I had to have a Gastroscopy and a colonoscopy - at the same time! Have now to wait for results. I have also had to go into hospital 3 times to have blood transfusions because my iron levels had got too low, so at the moment feeling ok. Would you believe I still have to wait until 22nd February to see the hospital doctors so hopefully keeping everything crossed its something that can be rectified quickly.
Now on to a couple of card I made one was for my son who's birthday was before Christmas.
Its a Mo-Manning stamp from Tracy at dies to  die for. The paper is from the Boys collection
by My Minds Eye this is such a good bumper collection to have for Men and boys. The stamps are Penny black and the shape is an inverted label by spellbinders. Coloured in by copics.
The other card is for a very dear friend who lost her husband a week before Christmas, such a shock.
This was made with a dreamweaver stencil and embossing paste. White card and black, just kept it simple as what else can you do. Finished off with a white satin ribbon.
Well hope you all have a lovely evening. Good health and love Jo.xxx

A couple of Birthday cards.

Afternoon Bloggers, Blogger has not been good to me today it keeps going off. So while its being good I will show you a couple of cards I made recently. Once was for my Sister Irene's birthday and the other one was for my Best Friend who I have known  since I was a little girl - long time now ha ha. The first one is a stamping bella you know how much I love these stamps and a few others !!!!
I used Craftwork cards shaped card again, a Marianne D Die, craftwork card sentiment. Copics and a WOC flower.
The other card is a card made with Kraftin Kimmi its called Carole, cannot believe it as my best friend is called Carol without the e on the end.

I hope she liked it. Used Craftwork card stock once again and coloured in with copics. Used the little candies on the corner and a Large Nestie die. Martha stewart edge die. I have been making a few little cards for my 2nd daughter little 3 x 3 so that she can have them handy for thank you's etc.

I have a little sad tale to tell. My poor white cat who is 12 years old was run over on Friday afternoon and was left, he crawled into a neighbours garden and some little children who knew Max were coming home from school and told the lady that the cat belonged to me. I took Max to the RSPCA in Putney and they said they would Xray him on Saturday, they thought he had a broken back leg, he was crying to pityfull. Well he is still there !! They Xrayed him on Monday after I kept kicking up a fuss as they said they had lots of Emergencies which I understand it does happen well today they still haven't operated on him they asked me on Monday if I would like to either have his leg chopped off for £135.00, Pins in for £135.00 and a plate for £265.00 which they recommended as it would be better for him - I couldn't bear the thought of my cat having to have his leg off. Well I am not rich, but they said they couldn't operate until I had paid for the Op. I paid and I still have got to pay another £300.00 for medication etc. but really I am not amused as my poor little cat is drugged up and made comfortable until someone can operate on him. I rung them again today and they said it could be Thursday before the Op. I ask you would you let a human being go from Friday to Thursday with fractures !!! Sorry for the long winge, but I have lost a little respect for the RSPCA.

Well I will end here and hope you have a lovely Week all I ask is for my cat back and well.
Lots of love Jo.xxxxx

SORRY BEEN AWOL DUE TO SICKNESS.

Evening Blogger friends - have I still got any ! I cannot believe its been nearly two months since I last blogged. The reason is that I have had the flu again 3rd time, this time was so bad nearly had to go to hospital as it started to effect my Asthma had to have those dreaded steroids and have  still got catarr in my head and chest and anywhere it can go so have really got a very husky sexy -you might say voice now. I have also put on a lot of weight and now hopefully fingers and everything  crossed am on the mend once more.
I was asked to make loads of cards but had to decline as I just hadn't got the energy and no Mojo what with everything going on. Sorry to keep rambling on but will now try to get a bit more organised and blog a bit more.

I did make one card last night as I am going to Peter's friend 50th on Saturday, will only stay a little while don't want to push my luck.
Here is the card made again with Craftwork cards card. Tim Holtz paper pad. Stamps Happen Rubber stamp and copics - favourite pens and put on some distressed inks to make it more manly then put some diamond glaze on the glass and bottle.  Used the Nestability dies for the shapes and also used some dimensional glue on the glass to make it stand out. Hope you like it.
Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend and have fun. Lots of love and Hugs. JO.xxxx

Quick Cards Made Easy.

Afternoon Bloggers, Hope you have had a nice day, its getting dark now but still warm - good don't like cold. Here is a card I made as a thank you to Sarah Bostock, who is the editor of Quick Cards made Easy. I subscribe to this magazine on and off when I can afford it. Well my last issue 80 went missing and I emailed Sarah Bostock and she emailed me back straight away, asked for my address and within two days I had issue 80 and a few little gifts as well - How kind was that, so I asked her permission if I could blog the card I made for her so here it is:-
It was made with a lace doily I bought at Ally Pally, few Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts Martha Stewart Butterfly punch and Craftwork cards Shaped card. I think the background is papermania Rose Garden. Again my trustee copics were used. Oops nearly forgot The lovely cat is a LOTV as if you bloggers don't already know.

I did do a lovely class with the Wonderful Kay Carley on Saturday, but oh my goodness I just couldn't colour grey and black for hair and Dress so didn't finish my card, Kay was so kind she gave me a copy of one she did so I can practise - Thank you Kay.  When I am happy with them I will put them on myt blog to show you. You should go and have a look at Kays blog its amazing. My Watermark I have put on my picture,  if I haven't already said is from the talented Christine Dark another amazing woman. I just love these two women, so different in their styles and both so creative.
Have a nice evening everyone, God Bless, love and Hugs JO.xxx

Birthday card

Evening bloggers, sorry have been absent for over a week. Had loads to do at work showing flats as the season for Post grad etc now looking for places to stay before their term starts. Had a nice relaxing day on Sunday so caught up and made a few cards. One I will show you later when the recipient has received it.
This one is for my sister Irene who's Birthday is next Monday, already posted. Made with Martha Stewart Punch around the page Square nestie and Wild Orchid Crafts roses with another Martha Stewart Punch. I think the stamp is a Mo Manning from the Craftbarn

The next one is for my friend who is only 43 and has had a stroke doctors said it was the heat and sent her home only for her to go next day with her face dropped on one side !
This one was made with a lovely LOTV stamp and again Martha Stewart Punch, don't you just adore her Punches. Nesties were used again, the paper background was from the Nitwit collection at the Craftbarn. The message is from a set from Whiff of Joy.

This one is for one of my best buddies. Cathy has a birthday on Sunday, I know she will not see this as her internet has gone down.
This was again made with another Martha Stewart Punch around the page, butterflies. This is probably one of my  favourites. Again Wild Orchid flowers. The Stamp is one of the tea cup girls from the Craftbarn called Tabitha. She reminds me so much of Cathy when she was much younger.  Oh I forgot, all the colouring has been done with copics, still getting used to them, but do love them. The green around the circle is velvet papers from Sie I bought from QVC. Have to show you the inside.
The Stamp inside is a Penny Black I have had for ages but it really is so useful. Well I hope I can blog tomorrow as its WOYWW and I so missed last week going on everyones blog and being nosey.

I have the Grandchildren staying tonight, so will try and make another card when they have gone to bed its for Peters friend who's wife is 40 and its got to be done by Thursday and lots going through my head. Well If you have come to the end of this without closing, I thank you and hope you all have a wonderful evening. Love and Hugs Jo.xx

Kay carley class at the Craft Barn.

Good afternoon, what a glorious day, been looking after the grand children, washing and tidying up the home so while they are watching cbbc I have 5 minutes lol.  I was at the Craftbarn with the wonderful Kay carley and had a nice surprise, her hair was a different colour and when I walked in the room didn't notice it was her !! Well Kay its lovely.
In the morning we made two cards with Kays own flitters and flutters stamps. Made our own background using distress inks again, also copics and lots of spica  colour pens and stickles glue.

In the afternoon we made another two cards again with Kays own stamps swirley flutters and florals- phew which I own both sets otherwise that would have cost me a pretty penny- Mind you, you get a lot of stamps for your money.
Again we made our own background and stamped words and flourishes. We had a ribbon which we coloured to match the flowers. Nesties were used which Kay kindly had prepared for us all.  Hope you like them.  Well have a nice evening the grandchildren have got bored, now want a DVD on - suggested Brad Pitt but got boos well from the young grandson Gabriel, but yes from granddaughter Francesca. Was hoping to put my little cats on the blog to show but another day.  Lots of Love and Hugs to all.

WOYWW 60

Tidy or what.

Good morning ladies and gents. Lovely bright gorgeous day again. As you can see I had a good tidy up and mostly everything is in their place. My work table has a few things on it to do - yeah you say, but I have got to finish them by Friday. I started on the Christening card. Firstly I will show you my desk and return. I am using A WS design template of a church. The cute baby is a LOTV baby stamp. The little dress  I cut out from vellum and added pearls and coloured in with copics for the leaves, flowers and face, also glitter glue. Its now just a matter of assembling. I embossed the door and window frames in Gold detail embossing powder. You see that cute cat stamp, its going to be made into a card today as I am off looking after the grandchildren and they can make a card good excuse eh to get on with mine. The boxes mounted up on the side has all the little embellishments and the lovely cupcake boxes on the left have my unmounted stamps  one is LOTV, one has Stamping bella, and the flowery one has crafty individuals and girly stamps in.
Doors shutting
Cute baby - oh must colour the window pane.
Well I'm off now to look at other peoples blogs before my grandchildren awake. Lots of love to all
