My Friend Frannie's Birthday card

Well good afternoon Bloggers. I do hope I have still some blogger friends. I know it's been a long time but I have had so much done at hospitals etc and they still haven't found my problem! I even went and had two ECG's on Wednesday it case it was my heart!! - I don't think so. Well I do know that I need to have Ferratin Infusions this is because my iron levels get so low it makes me so tired and I keep falling asleep in the afternoon.  Well thats enough of me.

I did make a quick card because I was getting out of the habit of making cards too tired and then I got card idea block. I love die cutting which is my favourite apart from stamping.

I made a card from the pop and cuts dies  which Karen Burniston designs for Sizzix it's the flower die I just love these dies, the only thing I stamped was the happy birthday which is a Penny Black one I have had for ages and the other Girlfriend stamp is a Hero Arts again have had for ages., The papers are from Tim Holtz from his large 12 x 12 pad so handy and useful, because its nice and thick I also used his on the edge doily die and put lots of glitter on it but it doesn't show up very well the ribbon is from the Craftbarn as was the dies. The front is a quite plain only with a Marianne Butterfly die which i put lots of pink diamantee's which I put in the middle of the flowers too.

Well bloggers I do hope you have a lovely Sunday afternoon and the Sun is still shinning and not too cold.

Lots of love JO xxx

My Neice Michelle's Birthday card.

Morning Bloggers, no time blog I am so sorry, but still not feeling the ticket. Have to have all my results done again you know Down the throat and up the proverbial. Have to go to Hospital next Wednesday for Iron Infusion again! then August 1st for the other two. Wish I could win the lottery and go private.

Well thats enough ranting from me today. Would you believe it the sun is out please stay a bit longer we all need the rays to make us happy !!!
Made a card from the Gorjuss girls for my neice who has a birthday tomorrow. I was inspired by the lovely Kay Carley at the Craftbarn I do love these stamps and she absolutely does wonders with them.
Talking about the Craftbarn, it was such a lovely day when they had their extravaganza I took my Granddaughter there and she met all the Arty people as she is doing a Art Journal for her GSE  and has been doing a fabulous job and was so encouraged by Kay and Helen Chilton and Andy Skinner. Spent a fortune getting her different paints and Dylusions for her and a couple of Gorjuss stamps and a couple of Memory box dies for moi ! - well I had better show you the card I made :-

Craftwork Card again. Memory box dies from Dies to die for. The little blue roses are on a roll from the Hobby House. The message sentiment is one of the Ribbon tags from Craftwork cards cut down. I spritzed it all with Glimmer mist it doesn't show much but shinny in real life. The back frame is a Spellbinders large frame from Oyster stamps. I cut the Gorjuss girl out so that she could sit in the middle of the frames and looks like she is in a wood. I cheated for the back of the frame and used a bit of Tim Holtz paper.

Well that's all from me hope the Sun keeps shinning and keep smiling lots of love to all. God Bless Jo :) xxxx

My Daughter Rachel's Birthday Cad.

Good morning bloggers.
Did you all have a fantastic Jubilee our street had a party and it was even shown on the TV. I am in it a little bit but they showed mainly the Cake competion. Which I did not make any nor did I remember to have any I think when there is so much food around you sometimes don't feel like eating!
Today I'm showing my  Daughter Rachel's Birthday card which I completely forgot to Blog! her birthday was on the 24th May !!! Its one of the new Penny Black London designs which I bought from the Glitter pot  Rachel has a Pomerannian dog and so it looks a bit like her and her dog. I have tried to colour it in with copics but the scenes are so fiddly. Used the papermania Portabello Road papers and ribbons. The Flowers are from WOC, they were all white but coloured them with copic markers to get the red and blue colours.
I also made a card in the week for my sister Kate's best friend who was 60 and it was such a fun card.
Lots of die cuts again. Magnolia flower die, and the little heart border. Used the Craftwork cards shaped step card, and covered it with Bo Bunny spotty paper which I have had for ages. You know what its like you see paper and you just have to have it and then you don't want to cut it up and use it but I have so much paper I really have to be harsh now. The Stamp is an Art Impression coloured in again with copics this one I got from Oyster stamps they are really a reasonable company for lots of things, especially Spellbinder dies. The wording is also from the Stamp set.
Well I do hope you are having a lovely relaxing Sunday. I am already fed up with the Football it's taking over in this house, Lucky I can watch TV in another room he he God Bless big Hugs JO.xxx

My Sister Audrey's Birthday card

Morning Bloggers If you are a Chelsea Fan what a great night My brother was at the Game so he wasn't disappointed eh. My whole family are Chelsea fans from way back. Anyway that's enough of Chelsea We are the champions.
I made a card over the last couple of days for my sister who doesn't blog but it is her birthday on 23rd May this Wednesday. Used one of my favourite stamps again Stamping Bellas Uptown girls I love these new stamps of hers. Coloured her with Copics getting quite a collection now, must just say a thank you to dearest Kay Carley as she has an updated copic chart on her blog.
I have used a Cheery Lynn die Sophies Heart, what a nightmare to cut out, kept turning it around and different machines and finally got one to cut out with the Grand calibur with a shim. I have three Sizzix machines one is the Vagabond which I really didn't want to break! the other is the Pro which I thought would be too big and the Big shot and I have all the adapters for all of them and they didn't work! I used a nestability for the frame and of course Craftwork cards cardstock. The little crown is one of Craftwork cards sayings A princess for the day. The backing paper for the life of me I don't know probably a Bo  Bunny from ages ago.

Well Bloggers hope you have fantastic Sunday I'm off to get my dog and cats flea stuff.
God bless and lots of Hugs JO.xxx

2 Overdue cards.

Evening everyone, sorry have been awol for a couple of months, but have had health issues again. Gladly nearly over, have got a Hiatus hernia and a large fibroid. Thats the gory details over.

Over the weekend, I had one of my sisters over to make cards and she helped me get motivated again as we bounce of each other with ideas. I made a little card using Tim Holtz flower die and a martha stewart deep edge punch with backing papers from the First Edition, Isabelle paper pad. Its very simple but effective. The leaves are the Cheery Lynne Laurel leaves.

I also made a card a couple of weeks ago for my brother-in-law but didn't have time to post as always up the hospitals.
This time I used the Wine Buffs Cd, has good graphics but it could be a little bit more explanatory on how you can put things together. Lucky for me I also bought the rubber stamps to go with it. I made a stepper card, with the downloadable paper. Used my copics, slowly getting better.
Well I do hope you have a lovely evening, cannot get over this weather. We have had all sorts today hail stones, rain, and the sun coming out.
ps. I saw the Queen today, she was going up the Upper Richmond Road East Sheen going to Richmond Park to White Gate Lodge to the Ballet school. She looks so fragile. Cannot wait to celebrate her Jubilee Party.
Night all. God bless keep safe Hugs JO.xxx

Peters Valentine.

Good evening Bloggers, cold enough. I really do not venture out much in this cold it doesn't do any good for my Asthma - which has been good of late.
I made a card for Peter my partner, really its from his dog Possil she's a West highland Terrier and we really love her. I have never had a dog because when I was younger they used to affect my Asthma but having cats it seems my immune system has got used to animals. We got her from an animal shelter in September and she is adorable.
Well here is Peter's card not too elaborate, as you know I just love die cutting and all the dies are from Creating memories in time and they are so reasonable and have lots of discontinued Quickutz dies! http://cmitonlinestore.com/
As you can see its the Westie die and one of the old cherubs with bow. The heart is one of the new ones from Lifestyle crafts  which was formally known as Quickutz,  again I got  the heart from Creating memories as they also carry a lot of new dies too. Teresa the owner is a wonderful lady and so helpful with the posting and always tries to save you money with the postal charges. Teresa also has a blog and so does Lifestyle crafts I have stamped the inside but thats a bit personal to show ha ha.
Hope you all have a wonderful evening. Lots of love. Hugs Jo.xx

Friends 65th

Hi Blogger friends it's me again - don't faint, no post for months and now two days on the trot. I'm off today and done all my chores washing, ironing, cleaning up you know the mundane things in life we women have to do. One of my dear friends was 65 before Christmas and I did manage to take a photo of the card and now can show it. I use mainly Craftwork cards for the base, the backing paper I think was off a sheet of free paper pack from a magazine. Used memory box dies- so easy to Die cut, WOC flowers and Stamp from Nicky and friends by Ladybug crafts coloured in with copics easy little stamp, the 65 made from Quickutz Roxy alphabet. I put tiny little diamanties on the flowers
I am going to make it my new Years resolution - better late than never,  to try and capture my photo's better, I am really rubbish at taking photos to put on my blog. Hope you like it. Have a lovely evening. Big Hugs and love JO.xxx

What a bad month!

Hi bloggers,
Not a good month for me wanted to start to be a better blogger, but unfortunately been rather poorly. Just before the new year I had to have a Gastroscopy and a colonoscopy - at the same time! Have now to wait for results. I have also had to go into hospital 3 times to have blood transfusions because my iron levels had got too low, so at the moment feeling ok. Would you believe I still have to wait until 22nd February to see the hospital doctors so hopefully keeping everything crossed its something that can be rectified quickly.
Now on to a couple of card I made one was for my son who's birthday was before Christmas.
Its a Mo-Manning stamp from Tracy at dies to  die for. The paper is from the Boys collection
by My Minds Eye this is such a good bumper collection to have for Men and boys. The stamps are Penny black and the shape is an inverted label by spellbinders. Coloured in by copics.
The other card is for a very dear friend who lost her husband a week before Christmas, such a shock.
This was made with a dreamweaver stencil and embossing paste. White card and black, just kept it simple as what else can you do. Finished off with a white satin ribbon.
Well hope you all have a lovely evening. Good health and love Jo.xxx
