Sorry - Long Time No Blogging

Afternoon Bloggers, Sorry have not posted for ages. Time I got my act together once again ! I have now changed my provider so have gone with Virgin Broadband etc., and guess what kept losing my WiFi connection in the last 3 weeks - Now its up and running perfect fingers crossed. Made a few cards some I will show but some didn't get photographed because I was behind again so had to post them out. First one is my sister Kate's invitation card for her 60th Birthday on Thursday. Her party is next Saturday 26th and I know she has posted them all so I can show and I don't think any of her friends blog.

I used Craftwork cards cardstock again. Martha Stewart heart punch on the left side and a couple of different nesties. Ribbon, button and blue ice gems from Ribbon girl. Invitation word is from an old Psx stamp I had for years. Lots of glitter and sprayed with SU glimmer spray which I mixed up to give it a little shine all over. The embossing folder is a musical note from Crafts too. The inside is another couple of Nesties the heart and labels. Inside the heart I put a magnolia tag with hearts on the bottom with Kates telephone No as a rsvp. The glasses on the old girl is with diamond glaze. Last but not least faithfull copics.
Next card I made with Acetate on the front for my 2nd Daughter Rachels best friend 40th Birthday, not very good at taking photo's with acetate as it reflects a bit. The 40 was cut with my little slice machine which always comes to my aid for Numbers bigger than my Quickutz dies.
The lovely mermaid is from c.c. designs bought from Dies to die for. The shape was cut from the Super large Nesties.

Flower is made up from once again a nestie flower with leaves die. These nesties what would we do without them now. Well I had better go now and get the dinner sorted out. Hope you like them and sorry for once again not blogging. Lots of love and God Bless. JO.xxxxx

A couple of Birthday cards.

Afternoon Bloggers, Blogger has not been good to me today it keeps going off. So while its being good I will show you a couple of cards I made recently. Once was for my Sister Irene's birthday and the other one was for my Best Friend who I have known  since I was a little girl - long time now ha ha. The first one is a stamping bella you know how much I love these stamps and a few others !!!!
I used Craftwork cards shaped card again, a Marianne D Die, craftwork card sentiment. Copics and a WOC flower.
The other card is a card made with Kraftin Kimmi its called Carole, cannot believe it as my best friend is called Carol without the e on the end.

I hope she liked it. Used Craftwork card stock once again and coloured in with copics. Used the little candies on the corner and a Large Nestie die. Martha stewart edge die. I have been making a few little cards for my 2nd daughter little 3 x 3 so that she can have them handy for thank you's etc.

I have a little sad tale to tell. My poor white cat who is 12 years old was run over on Friday afternoon and was left, he crawled into a neighbours garden and some little children who knew Max were coming home from school and told the lady that the cat belonged to me. I took Max to the RSPCA in Putney and they said they would Xray him on Saturday, they thought he had a broken back leg, he was crying to pityfull. Well he is still there !! They Xrayed him on Monday after I kept kicking up a fuss as they said they had lots of Emergencies which I understand it does happen well today they still haven't operated on him they asked me on Monday if I would like to either have his leg chopped off for £135.00, Pins in for £135.00 and a plate for £265.00 which they recommended as it would be better for him - I couldn't bear the thought of my cat having to have his leg off. Well I am not rich, but they said they couldn't operate until I had paid for the Op. I paid and I still have got to pay another £300.00 for medication etc. but really I am not amused as my poor little cat is drugged up and made comfortable until someone can operate on him. I rung them again today and they said it could be Thursday before the Op. I ask you would you let a human being go from Friday to Thursday with fractures !!! Sorry for the long winge, but I have lost a little respect for the RSPCA.

Well I will end here and hope you have a lovely Week all I ask is for my cat back and well.
Lots of love Jo.xxxxx

My Friend Cathy's 60th Birthday Card

Hi Everyone I'm back !!! Today is a sad day for America and everyone who lost their lives in this atrocity around the world. My thoughts are for all those families who have lost Mothers Fathers Brothers Sisters Aunts cousins nieces nephews, grandchildren God rest their souls.

I have had a fantastic 3 week holiday to Australia, Burma and Thailand. It was cold in Australia but Sunny, Yangon in Burma was very hectic and hot, then Monsoon weather in Thailand!! but the last 3 days it was hot and humid so got to put my swimmy cossie on but with a struggle, put on so much weight so much food everywhere the relatives kept feeding us all day afternoon and evening fit to burst, wow did we eat different foods, we went to Thailand for a rest. I'm not too keen on thai curries but love the fish and lobster and the biggest prawns I've ever seen. My sisters love thai curries. I prefer the Burmese curries. Well thats enough from me, if your friends on my facebook I have some pictures of my family on it had 1,000 photos and videos but only put about 104 on, would have taken me a month of Sundays.

Now I have made a card today for my Friend Cathy who is 60 on the 13th and I know she does not visit my blog or anyones if the truth be known. I used Craftwork cards big plain cards again, put some birds song paper which I got from W H Smiths. I think the pad is a first Edition card stock.  Cut 60 from glitter card, Flowers from WOC, celebrate is a sizzix word and the folder is a Crafts Too which I embossed and added distress inks and some silver Viva Inka paste around to give it a shine.

The inside is again another embossing folder this time a cuttlebug Happy Birthday and the sizzix pop up with the words enjoy and a heart with a little 60. I cut out one of the spellbinders shapes and put two of Lilly of the Valley sentiments.well I do hope you like this card and I hope Cathy likes it too.
Well I have chatted enough will try and be a better blogger I have so much to catch up on now.
Just a little note to one of my dearest friends. Sarah I am thinking of you too. Sarah unfortunately lost her darling mother whilst I was away and I know you would all love to send her your love and condolences.
Love and blessings to all. God bless. JO.xxxxx

Friends 21st.

Morning bloggers, well I keep saying this, sorry for not blogging, but my time has been so busy of late I am going to Aussie land in August and then on to Burma and Thailand and I have to sort out Visas and insurance, as I am taking my darling mother who is 83 and has not seen her brother for 30 years so we are taking her to visit him and his family in Perth Oh I am so looking forward to it and to see if I can find any craft shops on the quiet he he. Also so much work at work to do.
I made this card for a little friend who is turning 21 on Thursday but gave it to her already as she is going on holiday to Spain to spend her 21st with her parents. It is one of the gorjuss girl stamps little owl. Which I got from Tracy at dies to dies for I just love these stamps. My dear friend  Kay Carley introduced me to them a few years ago. The button and the seam binding are from The Ribbon Girl the papers are from a pad that came free with Quick cards from Pink Petticoat. Flowers are from WOC and a Martha Steward punch for the butterfly and the Shape is a large Nestie. The sayings are from Penny  black that I have had for ages. I am going to enter this card for  the Ribbon Girl challenge which is Aqua. This will be my first challenge so hope I enter it  properly
Well hope you have a lovely Sunday, the sun is popping out and I wonder how long for. Keep well and god bless. Hugs JO.xxx

My Great Niece Bella's 1st Birthday

Morning Bloggers, another rainy day in South West London.  Where's our flaming June! gone.  Well it was nice yesterday in Bromley. I went to my Brother Kevin's house for a barbeque it was my Nieces' daughter Bella 1st Birthday. It was brilliant sunshine and had lots to eat - no bread for me Chicken and salad and prawns and all goodies trying to lose weight for my hols.  I made a stepper card with lots of lovely paper from the DCWV glitter stack. A Stamping Bella  baby mermaid stamp which is one of three in the set - I just had to use this one it's so cute, but the main stamp is one of the older stamps from LOTV whose stamps I just adore too. - I just really love stamps thats my problem, sometimes I buy them because I like them and then ages later I use it.
I used copics as usual for the colouring, lots of glitter glue came out. I also used Wild Orchard Crafts lace with a little bit of ribbon I found in my very large drawer of ribbons - another favourite hoard. The little word is from a Paula Pasqual set of word stamps. Bella is cut out from a quickutz alphabet I have had for years called Moxie and the little frame is from quickutz too. I just love die cutting and stamping they are both my favourites in making cards. The cupcakes are from a Marianne D set it also has a candle which I didn't use, but I did use the cherry don't you think it's cute with some glossy accents on it.
Hope the weather picks up it makes everyone so miserable when it keeps on raining. Well have a good Sunday where ever you all are. Big Hugs and love JO. xxxx

SORRY BEEN AWOL DUE TO SICKNESS.

Evening Blogger friends - have I still got any ! I cannot believe its been nearly two months since I last blogged. The reason is that I have had the flu again 3rd time, this time was so bad nearly had to go to hospital as it started to effect my Asthma had to have those dreaded steroids and have  still got catarr in my head and chest and anywhere it can go so have really got a very husky sexy -you might say voice now. I have also put on a lot of weight and now hopefully fingers and everything  crossed am on the mend once more.
I was asked to make loads of cards but had to decline as I just hadn't got the energy and no Mojo what with everything going on. Sorry to keep rambling on but will now try to get a bit more organised and blog a bit more.

I did make one card last night as I am going to Peter's friend 50th on Saturday, will only stay a little while don't want to push my luck.
Here is the card made again with Craftwork cards card. Tim Holtz paper pad. Stamps Happen Rubber stamp and copics - favourite pens and put on some distressed inks to make it more manly then put some diamond glaze on the glass and bottle.  Used the Nestability dies for the shapes and also used some dimensional glue on the glass to make it stand out. Hope you like it.
Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend and have fun. Lots of love and Hugs. JO.xxxx

WOYWW 23rd March 2011

Morning Bloggers, it's been a long time since I last did WOYWW, I have not been very well and now I am really on the mend. I have blogged a little bit. If you want to know what this is all about visit Julia's blog she is the queen of all WOYWW and try and see what the other 150 or so bloggers have on their workdesk, floor, wherever. Today mine is quite bare as I have been doing a couple of cards. One is for my Partner Peter who is 60 on Sunday and he is Scottish so I had to find a few things to put on the card. I know less is more but this is the exception. The other card is for my Sister in Law who's birthday is the day after.
Peter's one I am colouring the little old man to put in the middle as you can see on my desk with copics.
Sharons card I did with Vellum and punched out so many flowers and butterflies I thought my Martha stewart punch was going to break, it doesn't really like vellum. I put some little beads down the side only because I blobbed some adhesive on the side and it made a small mark - I wasn't going to redo the card again!
Well hope you have a wonderful day. Love and Hugs JO.xxx

So glad England won they didn't play so good today, the Scots played really well, the best since the Rugby started and it was wonderful my Johnny came on, it gave the supporters a great boost. Lovely to see Hugh Grant there too.  Have a nice evening all. Hugs JO.xx

My friend John's Birthday Card.

Morning everyone, not a nice day. Feeling so much better now, hopefully getting over this bug that seems to be hitting everyone.
Made a card this morning for a male work friend who's birthday is tomorrow - talk about cutting it fine. I am now watching the Rugby just so much joy to see England and Scotland play I want England to win. It will be just nice for them to win the grand slam.
When I was at the Craftbarn last week Christine Dark was there demoing such lovely backgrounds with Distress inks and Katzelkraft stamps. I used her idea of spritzing some distress ink colours on a stamp block and then putting it on the card. Then on the main card I put two colours of the brick wall with the spritzing technique again also the Penny fathing man so he looked like he has a shadow n the wall.  The little gold dew drops I got ages ago on ebay.
Well at the moment England has 9 and Scotland 6 and I am off to watch the rest of the game.  Love and Hugs to all. Have a lovely Sunday.

Mums Birthday Card.

Evening Blog friends, isn't it cold, I really don't like this cold weather please let the warm weather come soon. The only thing nice now is the lovely daffodils and crocus shooting out all over and the lovely little snowdrops. I did make a card for my lovely mum didn't get to blog it because I was poorly. So have a lot of catching up to do. Here is the card, which was going to start off heart shaped then ended in a twisted easel card. Tried to make it a bit plain because I like plain but it went over the top but mum liked it.
Another Craftwork card basic 8 x 8 and some  Craftwork cards paper I bought in a pack ages ago but love the lovely pastel colours. Wording again with the slice machine. I did have one before but sent it back because it was cutting all my paper up and didn't work properly. This one is Pink and it works like a dream, I think they sorted out the problem now really liking it. Ribbon was recycled from my Birthday present in November ! It was from John Lewis so it was good quality. The little sentiment was a die from Whiff of Joy again. Used a couple of Martha Stewart punches the butterfly and the heart edge punch. Hope you all have a nice evening . Now getting ready to watch Corrie and Marchlands.
Lots of love and Hugs JO.xxx

50th Birthday Card.

Hi Bloggers, sorry you haven't  heard from me in a long time, but I had that bug earlier in the year and it took it's toll, headaches, vomiting, dizziness, no balance, then it made my back go out. Had to see a Chiropractor still seeing her but on the mend Woe is me. Thats enough of my sorry tale. I am now definately better and will be blogging once again. I did make a card for my Partners best friend who was 50 so here it it. Another Chelsea Fan.
Craftwork cards Papers and Card. Go-Kreate Lingfield Alphabet and Sizzix Happy Birthday. Quickutz Football die and my new toy the pink Slice. Good for numbers and words.

Here is another card I made for my eldest daughter Jo-Anne's friend who is getting Married on Saturday, Jo will not mind me putting it on the blog as her friends are not into blogs. This was the front of the card which is a Easel card and took me ages to make.. Again Craftwork cards card. Quickutz Bride and groom dies which I bought from Creating Everlasting Memories. They have a fantastic sales of Quickutz dies at brilliant prices. So do go on their website.
The lovely heart die trellis is from Whiff of Joy also the stamp. I do love Whiff of Joy they also do marvellous stamps and dies.  I made this card so that it had an extra layer added so that you could add your words and in case it was from all her friends it had plenty of space for them to sign it.
This is the middle of the card I cut out the shapes with nesties, and again the doves were from Quickutz from creating everlasting memories. Well hope you like them. Have fun and a lovely evening.

WOYWW 86

Morning Bloggers,
I have got the terrible lurgy thats going around at the moment nose dripping you know the signs, even had a Flu jab and still got the nasty. Well today I am showing four cards that I made when I visited the Craftbarn on Saturday, where I had a class with the lovely Carol Cockbain. We made some lovely Valentine cards and a couple of Birthday cards. The class was very interesting as we used some of the new cuttlebug folders, mixture of metal leafing and of course the usual Martha Stewart punches - what did we do before these delightful punches stormed our shores !! Jenny Mayes of Hobby Art was there demoing and she gave me the lovely poppy that you can see on my table. Of course I bought a few stamps Jenny Mayes Poppy one and Paperartsy Hot Picks HPXT04EZ as it had a lots of lovely wording on it, a few Tando cut boards one said Mum and the other is a sweetheart shape. My Mums Birthday is next month so I should be well ahead instead of rushing!!!
Well Bloggers hope you have a fantastic day and do go and see the Queen of Desks herself the delightful JULIE who started this craze.
Lots of love and Hugs JO.xxxx
